THE COACH HOUSE & STABLES

stables & coach house

In the coach house and out buildings are one of Australia's finest collections of horsedrawn The Ballroom vehicles. The collection includes a Landaus, Victoria, Sulkies, Buggies, Phaeton, Brougham, Hearse, Cobb & Co coach and other vehicles of interest. This building was erected on the site of the original ballroom in 1970-71, as the original building was believed to have been demolished during the World War II years when building materials were scarce. It contains a magnificent mahogany side board c.1850 in the foyer, and a collection of Miller hanging lamps.

THE BALLROOM

The Ryan family hold many functions for charity in the ballroom including a period costume ball each year, also art and craft festivals, weddings and other social functions.

BLACKSMITH & WORKSHOP

The ancient art of wheel wrighting and carriage building is still carried out on the premises. Many tools and machines of these early trades are on display as well as several early farming implements.
