THE ENTRANCE HALL
As you enter the main house, the hallway gives the first impression of the style and
opulence so typical of the rest of the house.
It contains cast iron hall stand, console table on which is an Ericson telephone c.1893 and
candle snuffer and trimmer, above the console is a mirror c.1870, and a pair of mahogany
hall chairs c.1860 on either side.
Mahogany longcase clock c.1780, a rosewood barometer c.1850 ,
an oil painting of sheep on sand dunes painted by Cara c.1890 and ruby and brass
hall light, a hand tinted print titled "Past and Present" c.1860.
